With one last day at Disney, we made a big push to hit the last two parks on our to do list. In the morning we visited Animal Kingdom, and that afternoon was Hollywood studios. We left the campsites by 8ish, and were at the parks the rest of the day until after midnight.
At Animal Kingdom we were able to make it onto the Safari Ride, Everest coaster, Dinosaur experience, Bug’s Life Movie, and even eat lunch. Bobby voted against Everest and opted out. It and later The Tower of Terror were the only rides he opted out on. Poor Joey was too short for both of those. Otherwise I think he would have gone on them both. Everest was easily my favorite ride of the whole trip. Space Mountain is a close second, but it is hard to beat the surprises of a train attacked by a Yeti.
The rest of the day was spent in Hollywood Studios. Unfortunately, too much of that time was spent in the line for the Toy Story Ride. Since we were at Animal Kingdom in the morning, all the FastPasses were gone. The line was over 2 hours long. In hindsight, we should have done other things. Other than that the rest of the day was filled with the Indiana Jones Show, Star Tours ride, The Tower of Terror. The boys favorite of the whole trip may have been the Star Wars ride. Joey and Bobby both really thought they were on a trip piloted by a droid having a very bad first day on the job. In fact, they .rode it twice.
To end our trip we stayed late for the Fantasmic show, which filled up for the 9pm show at least 30 minutes early. We made it into the late showing and we happy we did. This was my first time actually getting in to the show, and it is easily my favorite show of all time. It is hard to describe, but basically it is like seeing Mickey Mouse having a dream that is taken over by evil characters.
In all, I got to just about everything I wanted. My only wish may have to see a few more characters for Joey, who seemed to enjoy them the most. He was very sad not to get to meet Woody and Buzz who were leaving as we arrived to their spot late. Oh well, something for the next trip.

Had a great last day in the parks. Packed up and ready to go. I will post more later.

One more trip through the parks today. Big plans to make it to both Animal Kingdom and Hollywood Studios.
Last night was fun with the sing along. We also made a trip to the roof of the Contemporary to see the Magic Kingdom Fireworks. it was an awesome view from so high up. During the show Capt. Hook attacks the castle, and fireworks fill the sky from all angles. A great effect. My favorite.
Today will be a busy day. So time to get going!

Just woke up from a super nap with the boys after swimming this morning in the campground pool. Great way to energize after 2 days of hard work in the parks. Ha!
Getting ready to head out for a meal at the campground restaurant. Hope it is as good as I remember. Then we are going to a movie and sing along in the campground. never done that before so I’m excited.
Just hanging at the campground has been fun. Really don’t have to go to the parks to have a great time here!

Wow… I’ve been too busy to update. Since my last post we have been to Magic Kingdom and Epcot for a day each. Here’s a quick look at what happened
Joey rode both Splash and Thunder Mountain. He loved both. It was hilarious to watch his replay of the ride as he showed exactly how his body reacted to the turns.
Bobby got the ride all three mountain rides at the park. He was especially brave on Space Mountain when he rode up front as our pilot.
Bobby also scared us a bit in Futureland when he turned left and the rest of us turned right. He got lost for bait, and learned a good lesson. He has not let go of anyone’s hand since.
New parade and fireworks show at night were great. Amy loved seeing the old parade she remembered from when she was little. I loved the new fireworks which seemed to encircle us.
Took the boys on some of the big rides they were not able to do last time. Both enjoyed Test Track and Soarin’. Bobby s the only one big enough for Mission to Mars.
Ellen’s Energy Ride was a big hit with the moving theater seats and Dinosaurs.
We had a great spot for the fireworks around the lake.
Joey got to meet Sleeping Beauty, and it was cute when she called him a little Dragonslayer.
Today is a rest day from the parks and we will be hanging around the campsite avoiding the biting flies. The boys are testing out their new rifles from Jennifer, who by the ay is Amy’s cousin that works at the parks. It is time for a rest, since it the last two days we have walked over a total of twenty miles.

Made it down I-95 and I-4 to Orlando and Disney World. Must say riding in an RV beats pulling a trailer, which is what I got to do once we got to Florida, and we switched drivers and riders. Taking this trip has me sold on getting an RV.
Not much of an adventure getting here. Hit a few storms, but nothing too bad. The iPad helped us track the weather, and I got a big kick out of that.
Once at the site, set up quickly (covered in sweat from the post storm humid air), and took a swim in the campground pool, before heading out to ride the Monorail and get a bite to eat. Joey was exhausted and Amy and him stayed behind, but the rest of us all got a big treat coming back to the campground when we met who else but Captain Hook getting off the boat woe were getting on. Bobby got a kick out of that.
Time to rest more to come.

Totally geeking out with the iPad today and using the 3G network to blog on the road, while we are on our way to Orlando for a group trip to Disney World. While I write this post, I’m riding shotgun in an RV outside of Savanah, GA. Heading on the trip with us are of course the boys, and some of Amy’s family.
So far, I’ve decided the best way to get anywhere is riding in style in an RV. It is too much fun being able to watch movies, surf the net, and walk a bit, use the bathroom whenever, or head to the fridge for a snack. Man, we can even make popcorn if we want.
We should make it to our campsite in Disney by 4pm this afternoon.
